Aston Mauka Tower, Honolulu

I like two things about this hotel. Its location to Waikiki Beach and the restaurant which was fabulous. I dislike numerous things. The rooms were really small. The internet connection was by the TV so you either had to stand to use it or trip over the wire to put it on a table. The use minimal staffing so room service can run into the evening before they get to your room. The "breakfast on the beach" is a joke. It's a bag for muffins and fruit. If you want anything you have to pay extra for it, parking is now $27/day, use the safe in the room and it's extra. You loose your key, pay extra. Don't turn in your key, you pay extra. Finally, the vaunted computerized elevators cause long delays so expect up to 15 minute waits in the mornings. There are so many tourists on this island they don't care if you are there are not. There's someone to take you place. For better service, pick another island.

Was not what Iexpected at all. For the price I piad I expected a much better room. There is no parking at the hotel really and if there is it's a 15 dollar surcharge onto your room. Park over on Kuhio at the Banyan's hotel for 9 dollars all nite one block up. The head boards weren't connect to the beds which my wife thought was hilarious. Room had a funny smell and it's right across from a youth hostel so dont plan on getting any sleep early. Beds were hard linen felt funny and there' no mini bar. But on the upside it's 5 min from waikiki beach walking distace if that. So if you dont care about your room and just want to party it's a good place but the money's not worth it. They act like a big name hotel but look like a Motel 6 once you get past the lobby.
