This list is absolutely true and video was taken...
*Feces on the wall by the bathroom
*Mosquito smeared on the wall by bed
*Dead batteries in smoke alarm so it beeped - LOUD - and when my husband called down they told him to take the batteries out, very unsafe!
*Bathtub water ran brown
*1-800# etched on headboard
*Red plastic straw on floor upon entering room for 1st time
*Bathroom door would NOT open from inside if you shut it completely - not good for single person stays
*Black tangled hair ball inside bedsheets
*No clothes rack & the chair arm was broken
*Severe water damage over our tv set, buckling almost
*Toilet wouldn't flush, my husband had to rig it
When I complained the next morning about all this, to start with, they said I had only paid for one night stay, even though I had the printout that I had paid for two nights upfront online and when I called my husband to come down they changed the story to we would have to PAY to change to another room. My husband is a rather large fella (6'6/350lb) and I assume his appearance scared them and with no problem THEN did they gave us a different room......
The rooms were dirty, the curtains were falling off the wall, there was a hole in the bathroom wall, the toliet overflowed and all they did to clean it up was put towels down. The beds were dirty and the breakfast, if you can call it that, was not. Will never go there again.
I don't care how cheap a place is. There is no need for a hotel to be filthy. Dirty blankets, peeling paint, dirty tub.I would never go back to this hotel again. I am also a little more cautious of Rodeway Inns. They are on the lowest scale of the choice hotels. We stayed here August of 2007. I'm not even sure if the hotel clerk spoke english. All I ever got was a nod.
My mother and I stayed 2 nights at the Rodeway Inn in Savannah and I must say it was a true pleasure. The owners were a joy and made us feel very welcome as if we were at a bed and breakfast! All of the employees were wonderful to us! The pool was as clean as they come as was the room. We never got up in time to get breakfast but we were offered coffee after breakfast hours from the owners own private stash. Some of the furniture was older but still functional if not lovely. There was a large fridge and microwave in the room. I just can't go on enough about the service!
