Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch, San Antonio

Great for kids, easy access to Sea World and the RIverwalk. Great events every day. We see coming here every year!

Travelling with family members. There was a lot of confusion as to when my parents could check in. For some reason, even though the rooms were booked with different names and different credit cards, they put both rooms in my name and would not let my parents check-in. They had to wait in the heat by the pool for over an hour. The rooms were small for the price. Unclean. I found two hairs in the shower and three hairs in the bed. Had to call down to get the sheets changed. The pool was CONSTANTLY crowded with children and a lot of noise. I wish they had some sort of "Adults Only" area because my husband and I certainly couldn't get any privacy or a moments peace. We only went swimming for about 20 minutes before the noise was to much for us. The restaurant JBs was VERY overpriced. My daughter ordered Mac and Cheese. I was expecting a more gourmet style that you usually get at restaurants but it was the old "blue box" style straight. Her fruit cup was also very small with only a few grapes and one strawberry split in half. My husband and I split a pizza that was good but greasy. We were unfortunately roomed next to a very loud family with a screaming child that was banging and yelling against the walls until about 11 p.m. I will say that the campus was fabulous. Well manicured lawns and foliage. Just needs more peace and quiet. Bottom line: Don't go here expecting to relax and unwind. Lots of kids, lots of yelling, lots of screaming. Not really a "resort feel" to me. Way to crowded.

Dangerous driving of go-carts by employees. Dying plants. Stinky on site dumpsters. neglectful staff. Rude wait staff.

We took my aged in laws and were able to get them into the rattlesnake river. It was a great time. There was an outdoor movie, the pools are incredible. My only dislike is the lack of poolside service and a too few staff at the JB's grill and bar. One guy cannot bartend and serve both dining and pool traffic. Location is great. Rooms are awesome, jetted tubs, tile, full size coffee maker and kitchen. Huge television with surround system. May be a little pricey, but it does not feel like a hotel.

i hate it. it had the worst bathrooms that didnt even flush. i mean i asked if they could unclogg it and they charged 100$. worst of all, i was taking a shower and the shower temp changer broke and i was burning.

Like: Pools, Rattlesnake River, proximity to Sea World (about 1 mile), kitchen, plasma TV in each room (3!), great slides for kids (and adults), very quiet Dislike: NOt the same service as the Hyatt resort down the street, and lazy river at the resort better in the summer (more trees at the resort to keep you cool in the summer), and resatraunts pretty spotty (bad at Wild Oak ,and not much better at resort)...in other words, not great food at either, so go shopping at cook in room, or just head to MacDonalds down the street, if you do not own a timeshare, and do not rent from an owner then it is EXPENSIVE ($500-800/night)...find another owner of a Hyatt who will sell you his points to use...don't stay Sat or even that gets expensive

I took my firend there for 3 days there is just so many things about it we loved the plsma tv, the pool, the room we loved it so mutch that we didint want to leave anywherels.This resort is for sure going to be on my hotel list because the servas was very nice, everything is so nice and clean we just loved it there!!!

The location and accomodations were great. Marble countertops in the kitchen, Plasma TVs along with SW decor. The lazy river was our hit, it's layed out so that you can relax and when we went Columbus Day weekend, no one was around. They are only a couple of months old, so the for us it was no up to Hyatt standards. They seemed under staffed in their only restraurant open, JB's. The rest of the staff hardly seemed trained at all. Wondered why they had no leveraged staff from the old hotel not far away. Regardless, I'm sure they will get that fixed. It was a fun time and worth the trip!

We stayed at Wild Oak last fall and loved it. The rooms were great and the pool and facilities for the kids were awesome. They didn't want to leave for Sea World.
