One of those special places...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/3/09
I couldn't believe that such a place existed in Albuquerque the first time I turned down the tree-lined path to Los Poblanos. It feels and looks like a Tuscan villa. There is a magical beauty about the place. It is cozy and elegant- luxurious but not "fancy." Even the finest details are paid attention to- the little decorations, etc. makes you want to take the time to notice and stop and pay attention to where you are- to slow down and be present in your surroundings. The staff is so warm and welcoming. You can tell they really like being there as well and want to share their appreciation with all who come to stay at the inn. The food is yummy and home-made and it's awesome that they use mostly local ingredients. Los Poblanos really reflects all that new mexico is about, with it's blending of cultural and natural history, and the preservation of that history and culture. It is a great place to go by oneself, for peace and quiet, or with a loved one because it's such a romantic place. My little nieces loved running around in the gardens and paths, looking for fairies and checking out all of the different birds and flowers. I've stayed there several times and it is beautiful at any time of year.

Like no place else!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/3/09
Los Poblanos was a dream come true....first of all the staff is just amazing, they are at your beck and call offering goodies and daily trip ideas. The surroundings at Los Poblanos transport you to another country...it reminded my husband of our trip to Naples Italy. The grounds are covered with fun spots to sit, relax and enjoy an afternoon glass of wine. You could not ask for a better location, Los Poblanos is tucked in along the Rio Grande River which offers several gorgeous walking and biking trails to choose from. We loved the near by fine dining options, and even better, had our last meal prepared at the Inn by Chef Jonathon, which is still to date the best meal we have ever had! Los Poblanos was such an amazing experience...a place to visit as much as possible!

Beautiful spot
By Amanda P, 12/10/07
This is a wonderful little inn on an organic produce and lavender farm. The setting couldn't be better, especially for those interested in off-the-beaten track New Mexico. The buildings have so much history and character and the air smells like lavender and pine. Very friendly folks, and art-filled romantic rooms. The fireplaces are wonderful. Great breakfasts (don't miss the lavender honey). I'll definitely return.

Step back in time at this hidden gem
By Matthew, 4/10/06
Los Poblanos is an idyllic oasis in the center of Albuquerque. It was remarkable that while only 5 minutes from any metropolitan destination in the city we were swept back in time by this “gentleman’s farm”. The property with its attentive and informed but unassuming staff provides an inspiring setting. You may wander its grounds freely and enjoy your privacy, or learn about Organic farming and the architectural and historical significance of this John Gaw Meem property. Los Poblanos has the feel and romance of a top notch Spanish Parador. The accommodations are immaculate but still retain authenticity. Get terrific rest in a place with history and start your day with a home cooked New Mexican breakfast. The Rembes and their staff truly made us feel like part of the family.
