Hotel Bodoni, Florence

Wonderful family run hotel in the heart of Florence.No frills, but clean and well-kept. Good value considering it's great location. Walking distance to everything. Located near Santa Croce, across from a supermarket and a bank. Hotel is a few flights up in the building on the top two floors. There is an elevator. Rooms on the main floor have a balcony. All rooms have a bathroom, but it is small and the shower is the bathroom, much as you find on a boat or RV. Water is always hot and great pressure. There is a TV, all Italian channels except for CNN International. AC is available in summer. Continental breakfast is included and plentiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful with suggestions about sights, resturants and tours. My mother had stayed there a few years ago and recommended it. We loved our 3 day stay and can't wait to go back to Florence. We would plan to stay at the Biondi next time we visit to Florence.
