We are alredy making plans to return!

My wife and I were there January 2006 and enjoyed everything about our stay. We bought one of the packages that included 3 meals per day plus some excursions to boot.
The beach is a wonderful white sand produced from the crushed coral coming in from the reef only about 100 yards from the beach. Unlike other places we have visited in Belize this did not require getting into a boat to do some wonderful snorkling. And the eel and turtle grass are far enough off shore to give you some good white sandy splashing area off the beach.
The resort runs off of solar power with a back-up generator so don't plan on using an electric razor or a blow drier. No air conditiong either so consider that when deciding when to go. It was in the mid 80's the day we arrived and the sea breeze made it feel comfortable both inside and out. There is a lot of ventilation in the cabins.
The meals are much like home cooking and if you do a fishing trip they'll clean and cook up the catch for you.
This is a great place for sun rises, moon rises and sun and moon sets as the island is only about 300 feet wide.
Cell phone service is iffy but there is a pay phone in the main lodge which we tested with a couple of calls back to the US.
The island has no road only a foot path along one side.
