Art Hotel, Buenos Aires City

When I travel, I like charming middle size hotel well located in the city, with friendly atmosphere, decorated with style and flair, quiet for the night and in a king size bed. All these features I found in the Art Hotel closed to Recoletta, which reminded me the best travel I did in Italy. Hence I recommend it ..... Henri

Great location, lovely artwork, very clean and charming hotel, computer for guests was a great convenience, best breakfast I had during 2 week trip in Argentina!!!

I grew up in Buenos Aires, but have been living in the US for 30 yrs. That said, this is a great hotel for me, and it was full of europeans and a few US folks also. The neighborhood is excellent. It is far from the noisiest parts of BA but within a few blocks of taxicabs, buses, etc. The 'theme' is art, with some fancy paintings hanging in te inuscule reception area downstairs. The rooms are small, doors and floors are a bit creaky, locks are subpar by US standards (no mag card, a keylock that even I could pick). But it is clean, safe available. The only problem I had was the lack of internet access. BA is full of Internet cafes, and I went to one some 6 blocks away, but it would have been better to use my laptop in the hotel. Beautiful and quiet little hotel in the middle of the city. Two blocks to Santa Fe Avenue with shopping and restaurants galore. Five blocks to the Recoleta cemetary area and all the bars and entertainment you could want. Newly renovated with extremely friendly and multi-lingual staff. A great and relaxing place to stay in the midst of a vibrant city.

Great little hotel in a great location and with a most hospitable staff that speaks English and French, just don't be misled and think its a Hyatt, the rooms are clean but small and the furnishings are dated, I paid $65 nightly for one person, taxes included, in July 2006.

As a person who likes the "old".. the hotel is the perfect example for the old and the new combined.. The last technology and the "air" of history all in one.. It's a feeling, you have to be there to understand it...
