Hotel Virgilio, Milan

I want to send a warning to you who consider this hotel. Me and my 16year old son came in here a late evening last weekend with a prepaid voucher for four nights. I have done a lot of travelling and have never experienced anything like this. My job as a headmaster in Sweden has tought me to handle all kinds of situations but this was chocking. The rude owner told me in a very rude and agressive way that he had never heard of the internet company (mr jet) through whom I had made the booking. He yelled at me in front of my 16year old son who became so chocked that he left the reception. I came in there friendly, welldressed and wellbehaved and was treated like a criminal. I called the local police for help and they were very understanding but could ofcourse not do much about it. I was in tears of humiliation and then a man in the staff took us to another hotel instead. I read the recent rewiew and found that others also have been treated like this by this rude and agressive owner.

I have never have been to a hotel with such a rude owner. He first of all said that I could not be intelligent because one question was asked twice by him. He was so irritating and rude to us when we had to fill in the form. He did not understand why we did not understand Italian, because languages all look like eachother he said. finally he torn the form apart and screamed that we had to leave his hotel. I was so angry! Also other guests before us, looked at us like the man was crazy. Angry old man!

Hotel Virgilio is a very nice little hotel very near the train station where you also will find the buses to the airports. Only 5 minutes to go. The hotel has an elevator, clean rooms, nice breakfast, internet point, good prices, what more can a traveller ask? If I go back to Milano, I will stay at hotel Virgilio again.
