Hotel L'antico Pozzo, San Gimignano

We rent a suite for two days, from 31st of december to celebrate the new year. The hotel sis simply amazing, perfectly mixed with the taste and the style of the town, the staff is kind, friendly and helpful. A splendid hotel in a splendid place i would suggest to everyone for the life! Thank you!

I found this place most impressive for its atmosphere and style ,great location to visit San Gimignano. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was well served. The staff helpful and friendly,especially night porter Raymond,very good concierge service help planning our italian winter holiday.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past 10 years. It is owned by a lovely family that lovingly restored 2 townhomes into this small, charming hotel. The family and staff are professional without being stuffy. The rooms are all different but comfortable and well appointed. The location within the walls of San Gimignano give you excellent location to shop, dine, or browse easily.

San Gimignano is a perfect mid-evil walled city and the Pozzo is the perfect place to hang out while there. The family are great travel partners in every way and the accommodations have a wonderful authentic touch.

Very well positioned, great hospitality and very friendly. We spend 5 woundeful days there, if you do travel in the area, CHECKITOUT! Very clean and offers very good breakfast! Take care and have fun!!

I love San Gimignano! Every time I take a vacation to Italy, I visit this quaint little town. The best place to stay when there is L'antico Pozzo. It has maintain the atmoshere of the town. The hotel is clean and the rooms are decorated beautifully. The breakfast is not your typical Italian breakfast of bread and juice, it is filling. Emanuelle, the owner is friendly and very helpful. Make sure you ask Emanuele for places to visit out of the tourist path. He has great suggestions and the trips are always worth while. He can also suggest great places to eat. The only problem is parking or if you are traveling by train, you must first go to Poggibonsi and then take a bus to San Gimignano, but it is worth the effort. All the other hotels in San Gimignano are just hotels but this is an experience.

We stayed at this hotel the first time in 2003 for 8 days. We liked it so much we returned in May of 2004 for 10 days. We have already booked our stay to return for the third time in May of 2006. This time we are bringing 2 of our best friends with us. We found the hotel lovely, charming, and elegant. We got to know the 3 owners and found them to be extremely helpful in many, many ways. The rooms are large and well appointed. The glowing reviews found in the professional travel books are correct. This is a gem of a hotel in a lovely historic small town. It is the perfect setting and location to use as a base to tour all of Tuscany. We liked coming home each day to a warm, friendly, homey place each day.
