Bad Timing

Our visit to this hotel occurred in the middle of renovations of the front lobby (which is really a small reception area). Of course, the scale of the hotel is typical of european accommodations--small, almost claustrophobic.
The first room we were given had not been cleaned which of course led to a trip back downstairs to reception. Our second room, although clean, was much like the first--small.
Because we were visiting from Germany for just a few days, backpacks and two pieces of luggage was the extent of our baggage. I recommend anyone visiting Paris luggage-laden consider other accommodations. It will subtract from what little room there is.
To it's credit, the hotel's rooms are esthetically appealing, clean and comfortable (albeit small). A supermarket is right next door. A metro stop and farmer's market are within a block. Also in a great low-end shopping district along Barbes Blvd.
