Avoid at all Costs

Avoid at all costs. At Krabi Beach the nature is beautiful, there are elephants to ride, islands to kayak to, kind locals and bargains to be had. At Krabi Resort beautiful fish ponds, nice rooms and a pretty beach are ruined by the lack of any manager on site (seriously) and poor attitude of the middle managers who are supervising the demise of the property. The lackeys behind the desk can’t find the wireless cards required for internet access and don’t have permission to change money. They bring more staff over who fail to help and giggle at the prospect of trying to reach a manager who is not on the premises for either the day or night shifts. The restaurant was not open for lunch or dinner. The explanation given by the assistant food manager, “The staff deserve a holiday too. You’re having one, shouldn’t they?” Shouldn’t they indeed, perhaps a permanent one. Krabi Beach has dozens of terrific hotels, Krabi Resort is not one of them. Avoid it.
