Sleepless Vacation

Madison Manor Boutique the rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable. However, no elevator so if you have heavy bags and are on the top floor your on your own. The hotel is adjacent to a very popular busy bar.
We arrived on Wed. evening and left on a Sunday. Wed evening wasn't too bad as far as the traffic and noise outside the bar but the remainder of the nights we were very lucky to get a couple of hours of sleep. We had some early mornings and the noise from the bar patrons and the taxis beeping to pick them up kept us up the majority of the night. One night I remember seeing 4:00am on the clock and other nights was just as bad or later. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone that is looking to get a good night sleep, or is a light sleeper. If you are a partier and plan on being out all hours of the night and home in the early hours to sleep you may not find this a bad place to stay as it is very central. The continental breakfast which is offered is not the greatest....my bagel wasn't very fresh the orange juice is left on the bar and warm. The breakfast is in the bar which is very hot and stuffy as there is no air conditioning on at that time of the day. The rooms are air conditioned but the hallways are very hot. The t.v.'s have the volume control on them so it will only go up to a certain level, funny they are worried about hotel guests bothering one another but not the patrons at their bars keeping the hotel guests awake all night.
