Inappropriate behavior from staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/25/10
We recently stayed at the hotel over the New Year celebration only to have my wife complain that one of the staff members was grabbing her hand to bring her onto the dance floor. She pleasantly responded with a no" thank you". She was then approached later on that evening by the same staff member who grabbed her chest in a sexual manner. As I later learned the day after on the way home my two daughters were receiving phone calls from the staff of a sexual nature. I wouldn't send my worst enemy a good review to this hotel. I will be contacting the Egyptian Embassy in Canada and the Canadian Embassy in Cairo to see if there is anyway that I can see that this does not happen again.

Friendly staff, particularly kitchen staff who had to cater to particular dietary requirements.

Avoid this place.
By South of Boston, 12/2/08
Public areas are well maintained but rooms are shabby. Several people in our tour group had to change rooms due to poor housekeeping or poor maintenance. Our first room was filthy. In our second room, on the 7th floor, the bathroom door could not be closed. There wasn't enough water pressure for the shower divert to work. Room key cards had to be re-charged many times as we kept getting locked out of our room. Our friends had to change rooms 3 times. The main desk lost track of them and tried ro rent out their room again. They were awaken around midnight as strangers entered their room with key cards issued by the main desk staff. Thr next morning their key cards wouldn't work and they were locked out. In the dining room there were only 4 water glasses at a table for 6. When we asked for 2 more glasses we were told by the waitstaff to share. They weren't kidding!

Stayed one night as part of tour. However wife got salmonella poisoning from poor food handling.Doctor called and took cver 2 hours to arrive due to traffic. He diagnosed salmonella as cause of illness.cost of visit and medicine 550egyptian pounds. When i asked reception for more toilet paper none forthcoming so i raided the cleaners room and was promptly asked for bakshee. We made our travel agent book another hotel for our return stay.food overpriced.and not much choice except for sweets at breakfast.stay away from here.

Close to Pyramids and Mall
By Mercy, 11/6/08
The lobby is very nice. The receptionists do not speak much English so it is difficult to communicate if you need anything more than check in and out. The night manager came around once when one of our group members was clocked out of their room and suggested that we get a new key and did nothing else to help!! The room was clean but the bathroom not so much. Common bathrooms were dirty too. The buffet breakfast and dinner were good but they are not equipped to serve a full room. They constantly ran out of cups, cutlery, paper napkins etc. Many tour groups stay there so expect to wait around a lot. The location is good to get to the Pyramids. There is a mall across from the hotel to get cash and there are small shops around to buy water and basics.

will never stay again
By Liliane, 10/27/08
Believe or not but they put a single dirty sheet in a double bed !!! Unbelievable, however that's true. Also, they didn't clean the bathrooms. You can find hair from someone's else. They haven't change the bedrooms sheets (that's disgusting ...). Hotel is nice viewed outside, inside is a nightmare. Breakfast is not so good and dinner very expensive! I do not recomment this hotel.

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/18/08
We were asked by travel company to move to this hotel as the one we originally booked had over booked. While we found the staff to be friendly and polite we found the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired The room service was very bad it was a case of.....place your order but don't rely on getting what you've asked for. We ordered spaghetti bolognese one night and found we couldn't leave the hotel for 3 days as we had to be close to a loo, boy did we suffer. Tea and coffee ordered through room service was pot luck but in one respect we got what we asked for....if we ordered tea for2 that's what we got, it was as if someone had measured the portions of hot water and milk out exact + 1 tea bag. We have stayed in some marvelous hotels in Egypt but can't express how badly disappointed we were with this one. would give 2/3 star rating to this hotel......certainly not the 5* we were led to believe it was.

Will never visit again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/24/07
The service at the hotel is atrocious. I had to virtually stand for a long time at the reception to get hold of a technician to open the safe deposit lock. The restuarants are not geared to cater to large groups and they do not have sufficient cups and plates nor space to sit Krish
