Nice hotel!
Thus is one of three Louis hotels on this site, and certainly the newest and best. Staff extremely friendly and helpful and a very nice looking hotel, including a circular "canal" (not a swimming pool) between the rooms and the pool, lounging area. Food was only so-so, but plenty of it - throughout the day. Best bet is all-inclusive and - unlike some places - the staff are not always begging for tips... Two other pools on site, but all fairly chilly, in late May, and small beach immediately below the hotel. Very good communal areas in this hotel - including large lobby, furnished with antiques - much nicer than the other two sister hotels - but you can use all the facilities, whichever hotel you are actually booked into. This area is pretty isolated - our holiday company (Medhotels - not very impressed with them...) even asks you to get a taxi to Aregassi for their Excursions, as the coaches don't pick-up this far out! Hiring a car is recommended, but don't bother for more than a couple of days - this is a very small island! The "Sixt" rep visits the site twice a day and is very helpful. Probably not the cheapest, but a reliable company, nearly new cars, a chance of an upgrade if you talk to him nicely - and my wife said how extremely handsome he is! All in all, a very nice holiday, esp. as the weather was beautiful, even tho' only mid-late May (2006). If you come to this resoprt, this is the hotel to go for, _ we would avoid the Louis Royal Palace, which we only stayed-in for a couple of days, b4 asking to be moved (and we were originally booked into the Louis Imperial, which had not even opened for the season...). Enjoy!, Martin & Julie
