Stay There Again ? - No Way
The online external photos of the Hotel are very misleading, it is situated on a very tiny road, there are about 6 parking spaces and then one has to pay to park on the nearby car park. I had to stay in the Annexe, this absolutely shouted the 'Physo' house, it was up metal steps. I was shown into my room - I was there on a business trip - and if I had anywhere else to have gone, I would have left straight away. The whole place looks filthy, very seedy and doesn't look as if it has had a touch of paint since about 1970. My carpet was grubby, the only redeeming feature of the whole place are the absolute stunning views. I ventured into the conservatory restaurant for my evening meal, I was shown to a table which was not cleared from the last guest's meal. My chicken was red in the middle, all the vegetables were cold. I was told that all the meals arrive at the hotel ready cooked and ready to just reheat by the chef (CHEF)?. Breakfast was very plentiful and not too bad - or was I just half starved because of last night's non-meal? - the staff seemed friendly enough but apparently have to multi task so service in the restaurant is poor. I got chatting during my stay with another guest, she had to carry her heavy bags and lap-top computer up to the second floor room she had been allocated, this is definately not the place for the disabled.
It is such a pity as the place could be beautiful. The views are simply stunning. My advice to anyone thinking of booking is DON'T
