Description

This Victorian style guest house comes highly recommended with a three-crown rating. Situated only a mile from the city center, visitors to the city will also find they are perfectly located for walks along the beautiful River Cam. The friendly owners have been running the guest house since 1992 and it has recently undergone a thorough refurbishment. Six brand new rooms have been added, new carpets have been installed, and every room now has an en suite shower as well as brand new curtains.

My sister in law and i were really happy with our stay. The rooms were a little small but comfortable and clean. The Staff were helpful and welcoming. The food was excellent and euough of it. We would stay there again when next in Cambridge. The only concern we had was that the shower head could not be moved down as it was very high on the wall. But this did not affect the enjoyment of out stay.

The room was under the stairwell so I was a bit shocked at how small it was. I couldn't even sit up in bed without bumping my head. HOWEVER, the owners were wonderful (even supplying a mattress for a friend who came to visit me), the food was great, and since I did not mind walking a bit, the location perfect. I definitely remember my stay as being a good one here...once I learned to not sit up quickly in bed. LOL
