Neptune Hotel Resort & Convention Ctr, Irakleides

It was very clean .Everything was of a high standard. everyone was very helpfull.Not many English but that didnt bother us.The only thing that got on our nerves was the Germans saving all the sunbeds, there are plenty to go round.And if they could change the menu every other weak.The food was a high standard,it just got a bit boreing.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and was very excited about going to a 5 star. Although when we got their compared to other hotels we had been to this strictly wasn't the case. I would not call it a 5 star; more like a 3 star. The hotels grounds were outstanding; amazingly big with around 7 pools! We had a suite but it wasn't like a suite. Had a nice big balcony but inside sofa's that were incredibly hard; felt like you were sitting on a brick! Plus side though it had Sky News on the TV. Had a smaller bedroom but the beds were incredibly hard both in the master bedroom and smaller room. The pillows were enough to give anybody a stiff neck and a bad back ache just like it gave me. Had 2 bathrooms; 1 shower-room and 1 bath room. As for the shower; was absolutely appaling, sometimes it was hot sometimes it was cold. You could not wash your hair properly in it and it was freezing cold for 4/5 of the shower. Nor were they clean and they made you feel incredibly claustrophobic. The internet connection was bad; probably the slowest I have ever been on. You was either lucky with the staff or not; Some were friendly others weren't. also the sunbeds were not very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to familys. Being an English family of 4 with a teenager and a 9 year old we hoped they would make friends as it said it was a family friendly hotel. There was no english teenagers or children there. Everybody was all catered for the German even the shows! Although the German people were very friendly and dignified and was able to interact with you just as well as the English. They were lovely. This was a total con of money. Don't go here!!!

My husband and I had never been to Greece or any of the greek/turkish islands previously. We were unexpectatly delighted at the Neptune Resort.The location was private, the rooms were lovely,modern and well kept-one section overlooks the Agean Sea and has private balconies. The pools were great, activities great(archery was one). The food in the resort catered to German tourists but there was an excellent Mediterranian restaurant there as well. There are convient stores for incidentals located in the resort as well. The only draw back was the distance to the town of Kos. We would recommend renting a car (the bus is limited in its destination times and cabs are quite expensive) if you plan on doing excursions from Kos (we went to Turkey from this island for a day round trip excursion that was a really good experience as well) it is in a good location to do so. The island also has a handful of quaint villages to drive to and be very Greek at which was delightful in food, service and charm!Neptune provided us with relaxtion...which is what we wanted to do after a busy schedule in Athens!
