Nice hotel
By ostrukov, 5/24/07
My husband and I stayed a week at Canto Del Sol and it was great! We had a studio which was sufficient for us. The room was clean, the cleaning staff did a great job. It is also close to downtown ($4-5 by taxi). We did not have any complaints about it. The only minus was the beach - it wasn't very clean, and we saw some locals drinking. But then again, we were there in september, during the storm season, and a lot of stuff on the beach was brought in by the storm. Anyways, this hotel wasn't expensive and it's a good value for the money.

One Unfortunate Night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/16/06
After spending a week at the Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta, we needed to spend one last night in Puerto Vallarta before we returned home on Monday. The location was good. Upon check-in, they tried to put us in a room where the window was broken and you could see into the bathroom from the common hall. They quickly changed us to the next room over. The bell staff was helpful and friendly. The pool is small and we couldn't find any chairs at the pool. In the morning we were woken up by extremely loud pounding music from the gym below us at 7:15 A.M. This was the day after the Superbowl and the day we were to travel home, so needless to say we did not welcome the early morning disturbance that lasted for two solid hours!
