I stayed in the Kimdo Royal City Hotel in SEP09, knowing its location being about as good as you can get for being downtown. It was a great value - and the room was huge. Make sure you use a business card in the power card switch to keep the AC going - otherwise it takes a few minutes to cool the room down. The room was definately clean, and well maintained. The only issue I had was with the shower, it was a non plus for everything else being positive.
The hotel has a great breakfast buffet - and it is huge and in a wonderful dining room with a waterfall. But its the hotel staff that really were good. The cleaning ladies take great pride i what they do - and it shows - and the front staff were of great assistance and help during my stay. I will stay there again .
I stayed here about 18 days and found the hotel to be comfortable and accomodating. Price was good but not great. Breakfasts were grand. I was there on business and found the management to be most helpful in arrangements.
The Kimdo Royal City Hotel sits across the high rise Sheraton Hotel. You will NOT wish that you were staying at the Sheraton. Kimdo is not so expensive, very neat and clean and the hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. You get free internet in the room. They may not be 5-star but for a 3-day stay at $45 per night, it was well worth it if you do not intend to go out of the shopping area.
