Holiday Suites Hotel & Beach Resort, Bagdad

When we booked the hotel, I was so excited when I saw the pictures, We will have so much fun in the 3 weeks we will spend in this beach front hotel. We checked in at around 11.00p after a long flight, and the clerk was happy to announce that he gave us a sea view room, the other clerk took our luggage to our sea view room, and what a room!!!!! fridge was leaking and the floor was swimming, air conditioner not working and it was too hot, bathroom is about 1m x 1m with a standing shower and a ripped shower curtain, and no place to put your tooth brush., no soap, no towels and no toilet papers, no problem, you ask they will get it. what a cleanliness! how can we spend 3 weeks in this room? we were so tired so we spent the night hoping to change the room in the morning when the manager comes. but....... in the morning we went to the restaurant for our coffee and were waiting for a waiter to take our order, but nobody bothers, when my husband called him and asked for coffee, he said they have to give me the order first from the front desk. on their website,they say that they greet you with a smile?yea right, I was standing for couple minutes at the front desk to talk with somebody but the two ladies one of them introduced herself later as the manager were arguing about something they did not even seem to notice anybody until I made myself visible to them and asked politely to change the room but according to them the hotel was full, which I doubt. I saw only 2 guests. If the hotel is full, I think there supposed to be some staff , there was only 1 more person , he is the waiter who is supposed to serve our breakfast ,and he is the bell boy who helped us later to put our luggage in a taxi. manager even did not care when We asked for our passports to leave. what a service! We saved our vacation and We left within few hours from checking in, without even knowing where to go. but it doesnt matter as long as We are out of this place. I dont recommend this place to any body.

Superb location on ocean front, downtown Jounieh and near the freeway. You are simply at home between friends, these people don't stop serving and smiling, try this palce, we loved it.
