Decent Place to Stay for the $$$
Like: The staff are very attentive. I do not know if this is customary, but someone always escorted me to the grocery store, restaurant, etc. It is extremely clean, the maid service is excellent. Cable TV, a ton of English channels. Venezuela uses American electric outlets, which is nice. Spacious room with double beds, room to do a mini-work out. Dining table. It was a decent alternative to some of the pricer hotels.
Dislikes: The food in the restaurant was HORRIBLE! In Spanish, "fatal." I couldn't eat the bread, for example. And the prices were steep for what you get. Every night the soup of the day was "carne del rez." Ugh! The shower curtain was dirty - needed to be bleached, and the beds were a little to "firm" (read: hard). I got used to it as I stayed there 10 days, but just be fore warned. No gym. No spa. I couldn't use the internet b/c I don't have wireless or a Venezuelan service provider. The area the hotel is in is convenient to the business district, but not to much else.
