Cromwell Crown Hotel, London

never never go to this hotel - except if you want to sleep in an old dirty room, share an icky bathroom and saw the police in the hall of the hotel at 10.30 pm !!! THe situation is good but there are in the same street an holiday INN that would probably be better !

I stayed in the Cromwell Crown Hotel 16/04/2007 and it was a awful experience! My partner was in the Cromwell Hospital and this was the only hotel avalible as there was a book fair on in the location. I rung the hotel and reserved a double room. When l arrived l paid �69 for the night B&B (which l thought was a hotel and could have food and drink, which was a NO!) When l was given my room l could not find it, it was on the 5th floor and l had to go through a fire door to get to it, the room was on its own. On my arrivel there where 3 men, they approched me and told me they wher from Camaroon, and had arrived with nothing, and where staying there, when l found my room these men where outside me room, the woman at the reception had told them my room. I was very very scared, they where in the next room. I went back to reception to change my room and was told l could stay in the basement, and was lonley, l refused and asked for my money back. I was told no refunds. I then changed my room, to another lonley room on its own through a fire door. My room had a broken push button lock, the windows never shut. and the smell was un real. My bed was ripped and also the bedding. The bathroom was dirty and tiles where off the wall. I sat on a chair almost all night behind the door. It was a experience and it has scared me. I know you get what you pay for, but this room was not �20 it was �69, l never stayed for breakfast so l can not comment. But anyone travelling alone female please don,t stay.
