Never again, better hotels right around the corner
We thought we were pulling up to the Bates motel when we arrived at the Hotel Colombo. Apparently there were problems with the hotel electricity, as it was off when we arrived and were unable to use the elevator. Once in the rooms they were very small, with old furnishings and a tiny corner shower. Air conditioning was nonexistant, it was there but it wasn't working in the middle of August. The best part was dinner, (sarcasm) included in our stay. The first course was pasta, thank god for that because the canned ham, canned peas, and canned fruit cocktail was not that appetizing. The second night we were served more canned items, but being sick I didn't even eat them. The only good thing was the cheap wine, but that can easily be bought down the road at the local grocery for less. I wasn't impressed, and I think my tour group had several encounters with bedbugs at this hotel as everyone left in a rash.
