Obviously much improved since 2008 reviews

After reading the reviews here, it would be enough to stop anyone from booking at this hotel. But they have made dramatic improvements and I stayed there for two nights and there was nothing I could complain about. It is a budget hotel but the room I stayed in was nice and clean, not cramped at all and the reception staff are friendly and helpful. It is close to the city centre and all the tourist attractions in the CBD. If you need a place to stay when all the other five star hotels are booked out or you are on a budget, do not dismiss this hotel....it is worth it for the cost and the location.

they have the friendliest staff, very good service and really great food. its very accessible to all the different attractions in singapore, very clean facilities and very affordable...

Not A Good Choice

Location was great,Room are small not for big familes,cramp furshing,Rooms dusty,mould and smelly espcially the room I stayed at 1008,Chambermaid was rude,not friendly I need to wait almost 2o mins for new towels. Thanks to Letchumi,who helped my wife who sprained her ankle very fast thinker and help us at that time what we requested comes very fast and also to receiption staff Lenny very friendly during our stay.Hotel should employ more staffs like them.Overall your hotel needs a great renovation. Thanks Stickler

BECAUSE I DIDN'T BELIEVE

Oh boy, the biggest mistake we made was not to believe the negative reviews we read in the internet! YES THEY'RE ALL VERY TRUE!!! We had over 4 rooms and they all smelled bad...rooms are not cool, they even tell you to set temp at 16 degrees but it won't help believe me! Especially don't get rooms at the 4th floor! Furnitures were dusty, sink not working, aircon not working, people not friendly except Era and housekeeping girl Margareth were nice...aargh staying there was a big disappointment....PAL shld drop it from its roster of hotels!

Don't even think about it - Oxford Hotel as of 2007 Oct

Staying in Oxford Hotel was the biggest mistake I have ever made in all of my trips. I understand you can't expect much from a budget hotel, but this place is rundown. There were water stains throughout the ceiling, walls, carpet. The drainage in the shower was inadequate causing it to flood while taking a shower. The hallways smell moldy. Find some place else to stay.
