Hotel Piet Hein, Amsterdam

Although it says it is located at the center, it is not. The best I could say is that it is at the edge of the center. You need around 20 minutes walk to the real "center". There is a nice park in front. But some rooms have simply no view, but a wall made of bricks, which makes them quite depressive. The rooms are small, beds are very soft, badly illuminated, and thus, depressive. Most of the stuff is arrogant and unfriendly. Highly priced for the quality.In general, it was a real disappointment for me.

This hotel was in a convenient location in Amsterdam. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was quite a spread. Small rooms, but who stays in the room all day anyway! Clean, central, great service and great value. I would recommend this hotel for anyone going to Amsterdam for the first time who doesn't want to spend a fortune on a comfortable place to stay.
