Lavish disappointment

My friends and I were impressed at the lobby, it looked very impressive. It is unfortunate that the rooms were not what you expect. Although I must say, the rooms were huge however they just wern't comfortable. The halls and my room had a odor that isn't terrible but rather annoying, I can only describe it as a slight burnt smell. The restrooms were too small and used shower curtains rather than shower doors, oh, and the restroom fan didn't work. They advertised a swimming pool, bowling alley, and mini-golf course. The mini-golf course is on the roof of one of the building sections and the grass was poorly cared for, the swimming pool has no water, thus rendering it useless. They do, however have a working bowling alley with 4 lanes and 2 snooker tables. The only upside is that this hotel is walking distance to lotus road and the underground shopping center. Don't bother with eating at the french resturant, it's rediculously overpriced even given the USD-RMB exchange rate. Needless to say, everyone was ready to change hotels after two nights.
