Forget about it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/28/08
You're better off spending the money elsewhere! Unclean, rude, unflexible, unprofessional and just a plain old uncomfortable experience. We stayed here for two nights and couldn't wait to leave. This place gave me the willies!

Excellent all around
By D, 2/29/08
I stayed here twice, the location is perfect, central to everything. Big grocery store and pharmacies 1 block away. Also the best conversion rate MAC machine in the city is right by here at the pharmacy. The hotel is completely impeccable, just like staying at a meticulous persons house. For the price of around $100 canadian a night, and $10 a day to park you can't beat it.

hideous experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/07
I stayed at the Casa Loma about two years ago and have always meant to write a review about the awful experience it was. While there, the woman who runs the inn gossiped to me about the customers(she was particularly offensive about Native Canadians), complained about her own personal health ailments and in general had a very bad customer service approach. The room decor is cheap and uninspiring, to say the least, which is unfortunate because the inn looks impressive on the outside. Indeed, I give it no stars at all ... which is to say, hideously awful.

Stay away.
By Gus Jenkins, 9/25/06
Make a reservation here at your own risk--I tried to cancel mine four days before I was scheduled to stay there because of a sudden death in my immediate family. First they demanded a death certificate, a copy of which I promptly emailed. But my email was ignored, my credit card was charged the full price of the room, and my polite attempt for an explanation ended in my being hung up on. Be warned!

First Class
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/29/06
First and foremost if you want a respectable place to be in, this is it!A well run establishment with a no-nonsense attitude -here! Attentive and attention to detail is where it's at, friendly and the extra mile type approach is what I have found in this beautiful space on the 2 occasions I have been. The housekeeping is exceptional, the security system too. The owners are friendly, polite, interesting to talk with and accomodating, informitive about where to visit, transport ect, I for sure will be returning to the Beautiful Casa Loma Inn. A real value for money space, Thanks again for a lovely welcomming stay, and a big thanks to the housekeeper too. A Great location, subway a few yards away, and a buzzing area on your doorstep with plenty of places to hang out, shops galore, cinema too, and dont miss a trip to Honest Edds its a must.!

What a nightmare - no place to stay!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/05
Well, this will be a somewhat odd review because I cannot actually say anything about the place itself, since less than 24 hours prior to my scheduled arrival, the owner called up and asked if I would be willing to stay in another hotel. I said "no" (especially since I had spent A LOT of time researching the area and getting just what I wanted) and stated that I really wanted to stay at a B&B and the location was good. The owner still persisted in trying to convince me that I would be better off moving to another place, without ever giving a real explanation of why she wanted me to move nor EVER apologizing for suddenly apparently having no room for me and inconveniencing me. I still said "no thank you" and we hung up. Well, 2 hours later, I get another phone call from her again saying that she had found me another B&B and that since I was in the sub-basement at her place, this alternative place would be better because I would not be in the sub-basement anymore. I had had about enough at this point so I looked up her alternative accommodations on line and decided to say fine (even though it was in a less desireable location) since it was clear to me that I was not going to be able to stay in her B&B despite me making the reservation plenty ahead of time. Anyway, when I got to my new B&B it was lovely, so I was happy but I have to let you know that she specifically requested to the owner that he reserve a room for me no-where else but in the sub-basement!!! I was happy there, so no problem, but she not only moved me out of her place, but then deceived me stating that I would no longer be in the sub-basement when she for some strange reason requested that I again be placed in the sub-basement of this new place. Anyway, unless you want to risk having no place to stay and want to deal with rude, pushy, decieteful proprietors, I would highly recommend you avoid this place. I would recommend, however, the Beverley - where the proprietor bent over backwards to be kind and helpful.

Terrible!
By Luis, 10/11/05
They messed up my reservation and ended up charging me for three nights instead of just one. When I got there I told them it was only supposed to be for one night but they still chrged for three! The room was small, unclean. Its not handicap friendly so if you have a suitcase you have to lug it up steps and try to manouver through doors. Washroom was small and cheesy. They should spend the $20 and buy new sheets adn towels from Walmart. Don't bother!

Won't Recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/22/05
Good and Bad. Stayed 4 nights. Cute, Quaint and clean, close to subway and attractions. Hard, cheap beds and thin walls. Between the back pain and the neighbors snoring, the last 2 nights were miserable, we packed up and left at 1 am the last night when we realized we were going to get no sleep again. Seemed expensive for the size and amenities especially when you add in $15.00 a day to park and there's no breakfast. There are better deals to be had in the area. The inn was okay, but I won't return or recommend.
