Melody Motel, Niagara Falls

The staff was very friendly. Its a little bit of a drive from the main attractions but the location is very nice and quiet. There is a lot of greenspace and so my family and I enjoyed a nice game of soccer and barbequed on the patio. i read the other reviews and i have to disagree; i did not have a problem with the plumbing or anything anything else. great experience!

The A/C was not working even though the staff insisted it worked. The bathroom was filthy with dead bugs in the shower and the bath tub looked as if it wasn't cleaned in years. I had several other guests come up to me, when I was coming in for the night, to tell me that I shouldn't check into the motel.

This place has poor plumbing. I arrived late at night to go directly to shower and could not get warm water out of the shower. It would only return freezing cold then switch to boiling hot, and vice versa. I then could not get a response from the front desk so I had to walk over to see I could be moved. I was surprised that there were not many room prepared when it appeared that I was the ONLY one there that night. (it's located in a lonely location; past strip clubs) I was given another room on the back end which also had the same plumbing issues. Had 3 children that were dirty and tired from the days outing and struggled to get a response from the front desk there after. When I asked for a refund to get another room, there was hesitation while a woman in the background asked many questions. What every happened to the customer service! I would NOT RECOMMEND this location to any one else.
