I would stay again!

It's been almost 2 years since I was there but I can't get this little out of the way place off my mind. The accomodations were clean and the staff were very friendly and met all the needs I had.
The resort was located on the Lighthouse side of the island and one needs to use a boat to get across the harbour It is a quick 5 minute trip. You may rent a small boat or bring your own and dock it at the marina. The rooms were decorated in island colors and island type furniture. I stayed in a King upstairs room which had a small balcony that offered a very nice view of the pool and the harbor. The room was average size, bright and airy. I wouldn't call this place a luxury resort by any means but it had a lot of island charm. If you want a reasonably priced, relaxing getaway, this would be the place to stay.
The entire island is beautiful. There are some great restaurants and quaint little shops. The beaches are gorgeous and the island locals are very friendly. It is a very easy and quick trip from South Florida to Marsh Harbour where you board the ferry to Elbow Cay (Hope Town). I haven't met anyone that has visited this island that wasn't smitten by it's charm. I am planning a trip again for the Spring of 2011.
