Won't Go Back

Booked for Hotel Milano and ended up in Hotel Europe, as they are one entity. My teenage daughter and I stayed one very hot night in this Modena hotel. We booked a double room for Euro 78. When we arrived we were told we could have the remote control to the air conditioner for another Euro 12. So we now had a Euro 90 room that did not even come close to the Euro 90 threestar hotel we had stayed at the night before in Verona, that we loved--Novo Hotel Rossi. We separated the two twin beds to find a small spike-heeled sandal--not ours--and a whole lot of dust. No carpeting. Had not been redecorated in probably 30 years, but was spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have lived in Europe many years and eaten a lot of breakfasts at hotels, but this one was not good. I will not go back.
