A wonderful place to lift the spirits.

My son arranged a holiday here to boost my very deflated morale. Having been made redundant, losing both parents in quick succession, I needed to bring some enjoyment into my life, and for 8 days that's just what happened on my first holiday for 32 years - yes 32 years. Everything about this Hotel was magnificent. Food was excellent, with the ranges on offer for both breakfast and evening meals enough to satisfy all palates and preferences. The bar was inexpensive, and we can highly recommend sampling the cocktail menu, with cost of all drinks much, much less than in the 'Old Town', the entertainment laid on each night was varied and catered for most tastes, however it may not suit the younger guest. Accommodation was more than adequate, with a sizeable balcony to allow smokers to indulge their habit, also somewhere to take in the early morning sun and a panoramic view of the Town. The walk to the beach was pleasant, and all that can be said about the walk back to the Hotel was that it was great cardio-vascular exercise, and good for the figure. Staff throughout the Hotel were friendly, smiling and always helpful. Since coming home, I read a review somewhere, and that writer certainly had a chip on their shoulder and WASN'T commenting on the same Hotel we stayed in. We certainly enjoyed our stay, and this experience has certainly encouraged me to have more regular holidays, and I will gladly recommend Estalagem Do Cerro, and hope to return there some time in the very near future.
