Hotel Princess et Richmond, Menton

My wife and I are regular visitors to Menton. If you go just the once you'll understand why. We have previously stayed in apartments, villas, and other hotels, but the Princess et Richmond is by far and away the best place we have stayed. The staff are increadibly pleasant and helpful and will try their best to help you with any request. The room was a good size and very clean. To say it has a "sea view" doesn't do it justice. From any of the sea facing rooms you can seel all the way to Italy (OK, not that far) and all the way up to Cap Martin, and the good size balcony makes just sitting, relaxing and letting the world go by a less-than-guilty pleasure. The only downside is with traffic noise in the morning and evening rush-hours (yes, even on the Cote d'Azur!), but this is hardly the fault of this hotel, and is a minor problem that pretty much afflicts all the promenade hotels.

We have just stayed at princess&richmond hotel for seven days during the lemon festival It is a very comfortable hotel . It is run by the caravelli family and they made us feel very welcome . They bought our tickets for the festival in advance so we didnt have to go and buy them when we arrived .The rooms are very well furnished and the attention to detail was excellent. our beds were turned down at night with a chocalate and the next days weather forcast left in our room . The location could not have been any better overlooking the sea and you can have breakfast on the terrace looking out to the beautiful turquoise sea. A nice walk up the promenade brings you to all the shops cafes and restuarants .
