We will never go back. our room was broken into and everything stolen,passports cameras,even reading glasses,though its the photos which hurt the most. The hotel wouldn't take us to the police for an hour,and wanted me to remain alone in the hotel. They wouldn't let us ring the embassy,foreign office,my parents and when they eventually let us ring our airline they refused to translate from Portuguese. We arrived back from the Police station about 2 in the morning ,they refused us even a coffee,and wouldn't provide food or drink the following day. Aside from this there is no pool, no complimentary toiletries etc, no help at reception and as we heard our neighbours in the room next to us arrive and make a lot of noise just before the break in an they had vanished two hours later after we discovered it,we strongly suspect an inside job.
