Don't plan on going back!
By ,
Don't get me wrong I have seen other hotels in bad conditions, but to be considered a resort...The Caribbean Princess receives thumbs down! This is a great place for a group of young men or women on spring break, who don't intend on staying the room that often. But for a family actually vacationing, relaxing in their room while enjoying the amenities, the Caribbean Princess is not the resort for you! The rooms did not present comfortability, not to mention we did not receive face towels for two days. The food was not the best but you can get by. I can say that the location of the hotel/resort is great for the Cancun atmosphere. As for the view my room was overlooking the pool, which wasn't bad. As previously stated I don't recommend this place for anyone settle.

Princess

My son bought time share and took himself his wife and two daughters. The second time around my husband and I went along. We enjoyed ourselves so much we bought an extra room. The hotel is very clean. The food is very good and the people are extra nice. There is nothing they would not do for you. We never saw topless any place in or around the hotel. The beach is clean and the sun comes up very early. I would recomend this hotel for anyone with children. They have an outstanding programs for all age. The area that is reserved for small children is supervised and the little ones don't seem to want to leave it. Mom abd Dad can enjoy themselves without worry.

Excellent staff
By ,
We stayed at this resort during Christmas 2005, a mere 2 weeks ago. Although it lacks amenities (our room had no dresser, clock, face cloths, table lamp, hair dryer, side chair, TV remote) and the food was definitely drab, all this was more than made up for by the extremely friendly and attentive staff - specifically Luis, Manuel, Santiago and Ruben, to name a few! Our room was kept spotlessly clean by our Camarista, but we never learned her name! The food, sadly, was very disappointing. It was edible, but uninspired - have had better Mexican food from restaurants close to home (no I don't mean Taco Bell). I probably would not stay at this resort again as it definitely attracts the 20+ year old party-hearty crowd, which is not our scene, but I don't regret my stay either. For everyone wondering how Cancun is doing after Hurricane Wilma . . . they're recovering well and are open for business ("Abierto, we're open" signs are everywhere!) and they sincerely and honestly appreciate the tourists returning.

See you later, Alligator
By ,
Extremely friendly staff, especially Antonio, I will not forget you. I stayed from September 2-16, 2006. Everyday when I arrived home from a day at the beach, Antonio was always there waiting in the van to pick us up. When we arrived back at the hotel. The door man always greeted with a" Welcome Home" It was fun to see the alligator at night, eating chicken and pizza. Evening entertainment was a joke, skinny man desperately singing on a keyboard. Lobby was smokey. At first the hotel was disappointing, but each day was better, all because of the staff. If ever in Cancun, stop in the caribbean princess and say hello to Antonio !! Natalie from Canada.

Do you like to be top less? This is your hotel!
By ,
I have to start saying that the staff are really friendly and nice people. I found the food exquisite (I don't know why others say the contrary)and the room okay (there is not iron, no secadora de pelo, and the bath tub was plugged.) What I really did not like was the fact that this hotel is mostly for kids or very young people. The lobby was small and crowded by this crazy young guys, smoking and drinking all the time and it was really unbreathable to be there. In the swimming pool women are allowed to be top less, so if you are thinking to go with your family, you better look for a place more decent. You don' sleep well because of the teen's noise. This place definitely is not for quiet couples or families. It is for young guys who want to stare the top less girls and have fun in their rooms. There are many girls by themselves so if you are single go there! So watch out. It is cheap to be there and if you don't have another options, well, joing the teens, take your bikini off and boila! Felices Vacaciones en un hotel de tercera!!! P.S: middle age people are ignored at the time to go to dance. That is only for young ones.

never did see the hotel croc!
By ,
we had a great time staying at this small friendly hotel by the lagoon.the rooms were marbled, clean and had a balcony overlooking pool and river. the food was not outstanding but more than adequet, and we ate in mostly, and effort was made to add variety of dishes.as was all inclusive we did not take cash out often, much to the dissapointment of the main pool barman, who always seemed on the cadge for a tip, which you do not expect on an all inclusive hol, except at discretion at the end of the holiday. sunbeds by the pool were plentyful, but they desperately need some soft covers on,as towels on hard plastic were really uncomfortable.also need some more brollys.entertainment staff were great, and very hard working by day or night, organising pool games and nights out.each room should have a hairdryer too, although they had a couple behind reception, you were not guarenteed one and i think these are essential room requirements. we got cheesed off with drinking from plastic beakers with slight hint of pina colada taste to the occasional beer so we requested a glass in the evening.the staff were pleasant and helpful overall and the food on the mexican evening was far better than other nights,i would have liked to have seen more local quisiene, rather than the ,please the tourists ,type of food.anyway, overall we enjoyed this holiday, even though my husband cracked his ribs on stage dressed as a mexican, this did not taint our holiday. we would recommend cancun as a good, safe place to go to, and although not the ritz,i rather liked this quaint little hotel and think it was made nicer by the lovely people we met out there.a funny story, i treated myself to a pedicure there and the lady said i reminded her of a famous actor....fab i think, until she came out with jon claud van damne! !well, that was the funniest thing all holiday and we had loads of laughs there.
