South Stradbroke Island Resort, City of Gold Coast

Nice little spot on the Southern Sand Islands around Brisbane. Don't be fooled by the Resort Name, it's not. On the leeward side of the island, it's 15 - 20 minutes to the Surf Beach, and then a walk further for swimming beach. Service was good, Rooms are set back in the Mangrove forrest and lack access to the Ocean Breeze. Rooms aren't flash. Power is cut for 2 hours twice a day to manage power. Food at the bar, was typical Australian Pub Fare. The Big Breakfast was Huge for $11 and almost worth the trip. Sand Dune Sled Rides were free and a big attraction.
