Clarence Hotel, Windsor

Having searched around for sensibly priced accommodation in Windsor, we found the Clarence to be the only reasonably priced one in town. Having arrived without any great expectation, we were truely surprised by the standard and quality of the public areas (reception, lounge and dining room) which are all beautifully decorated and furnished. The pictures painted on the walls add a nice touch to these areas. The twin bedroom that we stayed in on the first floor was not particlularly large but again, beautifully decorated with elaborate drapes and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and obviously newly refurbished. We were particularly impressed by the thoughtful location of the sockets near the mirror and the free wi-fi in the room. We would have like a little more choice with our cooked breakfast, but this was nevertheless, hearty and most enjoyable. Having now discovered this little gem, we will suruely return.
