Invicta Hotel (The), Plymouth

This two star hotel is fortunate in having an unobstructed view of Sir Francis Drake's statue on the Plymouth Hoe, the Bowling Green and the sea beyond. Within easy walking distance of the city centre and all its attractions, the Invicta dates from Victorian times but offers today's traveller all modern amenities. Most rooms are en-suite and early breakfasts are served for those traveling on the ferry to the continent. The ferry terminal itself is also close at hand. Meals are served, accompanied by a good selection of dinner wines. Beers, spirits and liqueurs are available in the comfortable lounge bar. A private, lock-up car park is provided for residents, who have free access to their rooms. Reduced rates are available for children and also for senior citizens at certain times of year. Coach parties are welcome by arrangement and vegetarians are catered for.
