Good Hotel at a great location
What I really liked about this hotel was that it was not pretencious. What I mean by this is it doesn't try to be a four star, stuffy hotel. It's a family hotel that also caters to mostly families and singles that want an affordable place to stay. It is located in the middle of a neighborhood that is only about 4 blocks away from the beach, and a five minute walk from the appealing downtown area. When I first stayed in this hotel I was enlisted in the Navy and stationed in Gaeta. Gaeta is a place that is not often visited by Americans on vacation. It's a big vacation spot for Italians and other Europeans. So for the most part if this hotel sees Americans they are ususally military, which is why they ususally don't speak proper english. Then again this hotel is in Italy and you can't blame Italians one bit for speaking their own language in their own country. It's best to have an Italian/English dictionary on hand.
If you would like to stay in a more American style hotel you are better off staying at a hotel in Rome. If you want to experience what life is really like in the heart of Italy then stay at this hotel.
I found the hotel to be clean and the food to be authentic. The staff was courteous and the guests were friendly. Overall I would recomend this hotel.
