Villa del Sol, Bakersfield

I spent a week in Morelia and was very pleased with this hotel. I guess it is about the equivalent of a Motel 6. It was very clean, plenty of hot water in the shower. The linens were clean, cable tv, complimentary bottled water. The pool is refreshing and there is a fabulous restaurant/lounge poolside. The food is very tasty and inexpensive, they also have room service. I was able to access the internet via wireless from my laptop, but there are computers available in the lobby. Little did I know that the airport is 45 minutes from Morelia's center, this hotel is closest to the airport at 30 minutes and is just outside of downtown Morelia. It was very quiet and peaceful (unlike downtown where it is SO noisy and very smoggy, plus traffic is UNBELIEVABLE). Taking a cab from the hotel to downtown (the cathedral) was about 20 pesos each way. Even though the beds were a little on the firm side, I will definitely go back to this hotel...no complaints!
