A real treat
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/3/07
Just returned from a three night stay at the charming Seven Bridges Hotel. What a treat. Cosy beautifully furnished room, lovely breakfast featuring warm croissants etc and a terrific location. There was even a superb bar a few yards away . Our hosts at the Seven Bridges were also super. They could not do enough for us. Will definitely return

A great place in amsterdam
By m, 2/20/07
"Seven bridges" is a perfect choice for someone who wants to visit Amsterdam, not for only one reason, but for all of the following: 1-it is located in the most beautiful canal of Amsterdam. 2- it is very close to all the important areas for someone to visit in Amsterdam. Yet it is very quite, so even if you take a canal room (that I strongly recomend) you will not have difficulties with the noise. 3- You can select exactly which room you want to book, since the photographs in the hotel's web site are showing exactly what you get. 4- If you take a room with breakfast, you will enjoy eating it in your room and, trust me, you will find it delicious... and the coffee was probably the best in Amsterdam... 5- Although the rooms have antique furniture, selected with much caring, I never thougth even for a minute, that they migth be dirty. From the first minute, I felt very comfortable. (I am a person that ussually dislikes the hotel rooms and bathrooms, and gets disgusted...Not in this hotel!!) 6-Last but not least, in the "seven bridges" hotel you feel that the owners gave all their good taste in creating this hotel and in running it. Everything is neat, put together with great love, so the result is perfect... I strongly suggest to stay in this hotel, if you want to get a very good taste of Amsterdam...

OVER RATED
By Margaret, 2/3/07
Run by two gentleman who are unfriendly and aggressive with each other, and the guests. The people staying in room next to me were upset that they spent money there for their honeymoon. I would never stay there again. I can't understand the positive reviews except perhaps the owners write a lot of the reviews themselves. I have been told this. Service was non-existent. I think the ONLY reason they survive is because the house is a nice typical canal house. In the summer the smell can be a bit strong from the canal so you have to keep youyr window closed! No AC!

Just wonderful
By Sally, 8/26/06
We've visited this hotel twice - the last time on our honeymoon where we stayed in room 6 which overlooks the canal. I really can't praise this hotel highly enough. It's beautiful place with excellent service. The rooms (we've stayed in 3) are scrupulously clean, gorgeously decorated and feel very luxurious. In fact it's influenced how we've decorated our homes ever since (although we can't afford the antiques they have!). The breakfast is generous and we used to make a packed lunch out of what was left over. It's pricey but worth every single penny/guilder/cent/euro!!!

First time at the Seven Bridges
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/4/06
We are usually in Amsterdam (on holiday)two to four times a year. The owners of our usual hotel, Els and Yvo of the Hotel Agora, sold their hotel in Oct of 2005. So we decided, at their recommendation, to try the Seven Bridges Hotel. We were just there for five nights. We have found our "new hotel!!!" Pierre Keulers and Gunter Glaner, the owners, have a beautiful, small, intimate hotel. They provide excellent service and are very helpful. The rooms are incredible--oriental rugs, comfortable chairs and beds, a huge, delicious breakfast brought to your room (on china), canal side rooms with wonderful views, and garden side rooms with lots of green, soothing views. On arrival, we paid cash for all 5 nights. On departure, Pierre and Gunter both saw us off and gave us our receipt with wishes for a safe journey. On our future journeys, the Seven Bridges will be our home in Amsterdam.

Charming and a great location
We liked everything about it. The location was convenient to the museums and Rembrandt Plein - located right on a picturesque canal -- wonderful bed, and it was very quiet at night. The decor was charming and elegant - a combination of art deco and many antiques, with a beautiful ambiance. The owners were helpful and pleasant.
