I have traveled to Guinea many times over the last 25 years, so I know the country very well including this hotel.
Until the early 1990's it was a government owned and operated hotel in a deplorable condition for many years until it was taken over by a private company.
It is located on the Atlantic Ocean for sure but for most of the time the water is at low tide and all you see are rocks!
The hotel is also located in a very bad part of town not far from the capital city Conakry. You would not want to venture very far from your hotel's front door or parking lot after dusk.
The service is poor, the rooms are horrible, roach and rat infested. the prices for food, beverage or rooms are quite high for that part of Africa, it my mind they are ripping off the clients.
I would much prefer staying at the Novotel even though it's an average old hotel property but it’s close to everything.
