Esteghlal Grand Hotel, Tehran

I'd been there for several times in 2006 to 2007. We called the Esteghlal Grand Hotel the "MiniMax", because € 110,-/night without breakfast, accomodated in quite old rooms could be easily subsumed as "Minimum service for Maximum price". This Hotel, which was known as Hilton before the revolution in 1978, needs really an overall renovation in building substance and attendant professionality .

i have been in this hotel. as i remember it is the best hotel in Tehran. nearly i have been in this hotel for years and i have seen all the rooms. i recommend you to go to this hotel to stay in east tower. the west one is very old and it has many problems.but anyhow it has very beautiful location in city side you can all view of Tehran and in mountain side you can see the range of alborz mountain in the north of Tehran.it is covered by snow most of the time. even you can stay in tochal hotel on the peak of the alborz mountain . this hotel has about 70000 m.sq area and it has 2 towers with about 544 rooms,suits and about 5 international and Iranian restaurants.sauna , swiming pool,gym,a big saloon for events , you can arange for 1000 persons.you can see kind sttaff as iranian are hospitality famous for. I have to say something about managers team in this hotel. most of them can not speak english language and they even do not their job very well.and it is a black point about this hotel.of course few of them are very kind , specialist and have good knowledge in english.any how you can have a nice stay in this hotel . I say you can keep your money value in this hotel and you will find good advantages in this hotel.

I think this is one of the best hotels in Tehran, however Dariush Hotel in kish island ( south of iran in a free area ) is the best undoubtedly !

this hotel is a great one in tehran city it is near the city center it have many resturants with the best foods it have many cars buses & minibuses to have acity trip and many good things

This hotel is the best of tehran, but there is two tower east and west. if you want enjoy your trip choose east tower .the east tower is new and clean.

Room on the 7th floor had electric tape on most of the wires, the wallpaper was stapled together where it had peeled and the bathroom was a disaster. Broken floor tiles were painted over with bilious lime green paint, bathroom had calcium deposits and mold. Carpet had more stains than visible carpet. Cost was approx US$200 for two people/1 night. Oh yes, breakfast was included.

It has 3 buildings. the first one is the old Hilton building and the second one is the new one but the third is not complete yet. It has a grat swimming pool some very nice restaurant and you can open your eyes to one of the gratest views of tehran in this hotel's rooms. this hotel was the "Tehran Hilton" before revoloution.

It's the best but not a really cheap hotel the service is great and everthing is fine. You can really enjoy in there. It's just great!
