Hotel Borges, Lisbon

This is a noisy, bustling hotel right in the middle of a very steep street surrounded by restaurants, churches, shopping and bars. Right outside are multiple cafes that are packed from around 1 pm - 2 am, but the party continues on!!! Right next door is a famous Cafe Brasil that is excellent and picturesque with great coffee and beer and port and wines as well as a good restaurant in the basement. From the hotel you can walk to anywhere you need to go - there is a Metro station right outside. Down the hill takes you right into the middle of town where you can catch the bus, tram, or trolley to the castle or anywhere else. The rooms are clean, and they have elevators. Besides being kind of noisy, I totally recommend this hotel - the staff were helpful finding where to go and if you fall out the front of the hotel door you are right in the iddle of what you came to Lisbon to see!!!
