Great Stay in Rome
By ,
My wife and I stayed hear for three and ½ days and found it to be a great place to stay in Rome. The room was very clean and spacious enough, as was the bathroom and shower. It was a quite place to stay and get away from the bustle of Rome in the evening. Breakfast was more than adequate and very tasty and satisfying. There are nice restaurants nearby, especially a pizza restaurant on Via Piave, just around the corner from the hotel. There was also an ATM literally around the corner. We found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful, and very willing to help in every way they could. We requested the hotel send a driver to pick us up at the airport, which was great, considering how tired we were when we arrived. The hotel is within walking distance of everything, but nothing is close. The metro station at the Repubblica is close though and from there you can get just about anywhere. We frequently requested a Taxi, which seemed like the best way to get to the different areas of Rome, and then we would walk all around and come back via the Metro. We would definitely stay hear again.

a nice stay at a nice hotel
By ,
I disliked the fact that the only elevator was small, and that we only got one key to our room, even though I was staying with two other people. The nicest part of the hotel room was the windows that overlooked the Roman streets, and the bathroom was pretty spacious. the breakfast could have been better, but it had a nice variety of pastries and such. There was a computer that was free to use and was often vacated, which gave me time to check my e-mail and keep in touch with my family; there was also a nice living room near the computer in which my traveling group held our meetings.

great hotel
By ,
This is a great hotel in a quiet neighborhood, close to the termini, buses, and great restaurants just around the corner. The shopping is good as well. Wonderful to step out of the hotel and not face the onslaught of Rome traffic.

Sorry to be Leaving
By ,
We booked this hotel on line and were a little apprehensive but we needn't have been. We arrived at the Termini Station and within 5 minutes the taxi had us at the Medici Hotel. You could walk to the station in 15 mins. All buses trains metro and hop on off buses leave from here. It is possible to walk to Spanish Steps and Trevia Fountain in about 1/2 hour. Better to get hop on bus to plan your visits. Nice clean well furnished room lovely spotless bathroom which appreared to be new. Clean towels everyday with soap and shampoo. Hairdryer, mini bar reasonable 1.50 euro for water 3 for beer and wine and cans 2.50 fruit juice about 3 euros. Very good breakfast consisting of all hot drinks three choices of fruit juices. 3/4 choice of cereal, tinned fruit salad, yogurts, rolls, pastries, Jam, Honey, butter cheese triangles biscuits. Very clean dining room in basement. Nice lounge with TV also TV in bedroom with CNN News Channel in English. Staff very welcoming helpfull and polite. Lift. A little noise on a morning from outside but we were on lst floor at front. Very warm room and comfy beds but only one pillow I like two! Walls a little thin but we had quiet neighbours could be a problem if you didn,t have. Room Service available. Restaurants in area enough with two opposite Henry Cow good and the one next door also good. Our Favourite was La Lampada 2 streets away Via Quintino Sella recommended and booked by reception for us on our first night being Sunday most restaurants in area were closed in the evening. We would definitely stay there again. Well done Hotel Medici. S & J Dilley Brighouse Yorkshire England visited February 2007.
