I'd never go back

The hotel has a beautiful setting, overlooking a large courtyard the guests can enjoy and a beautiful swimming pool. From your belcony you also have a breath taking view of the Tyrrhenian Sea and Porticello Sicily, a small fishing village. That is the extent of it's beauty. My wife and I were there for six days in October 2007. When we arrived I wanted to store bottled water in our room refrigerator, it was broken, I called the desk and they said they would have it repairs (it never happened). Talking to three couples who were staying adjacent to our rooms also said their refrigerator didn't work. About 8:00pm on our first night there was music and singing in the courtyard. The women singer was terrible (you really could'nt call it signing, it was more like screaming) that lasted till 12:30am. I called and complained about it and found out that a number of other guests did as well. The following day I wanted to turn on the air conditioning, I was informed by the desk operator that too was broken (again they said they would fix it, it never happened). You guessed it, none of the other rooms on our floor had air conditioning. The rooms were dirty, the wood work had large chunks out of it and worst of all there were roaches, I killed two in our shower.
This is not a cheap hotel, we paid about 200.00 a night.
Lastly, in the hotel lobby there was a sign that said we can set-up tours of the area. We inquired at the desk and were told that the person who sets them up was not in and we should come back. We did exactly that for five of the six days and never once did we see that person and the desk people were absolutely no help with our requests.
A terrible hotel in a beautiful setting, don't waste your time or money.
