Royal Hotel, Ullapool

I just spent a few nights in Scotland an found the best hotel, with the friendliest staff of people you would ever hope for. The service was great, the food excellent, I had the mussels, smoked trout, lobsters/prawns, and beef stroganoff for my meal the first night...excellent. The next day started with the "Scottish breakfast" and that was extrodinary. Very differnet that a breakfast here in the states. The most outstanding part of my stay was the view from my room. I have taken many pictures so I will have it to look at over and over agian untill I return. The owner Marie, is a first class person, and did all the extra things to make our stay perfect. John the waiter is quick on his feet, and Neil the chef will make anything he cooks taste great. I'd highly reccomend it with reservations a must. Great time & place.
