Nice place to stay
By Elise, 7/13/12
I stayed at this hotel for the Dr Pepper Convention Both in 2011 and 2012. The people at the front desk were very helpful and the rooms were nice. I look forward to staying there again next year during the convention.

WHAT A FILTHY DUMP!
By Richard, 1/17/10
This place smelled from the office to the room! The rates were good but just because you get a cheap rate you should still have a clean room. The bed spread had holes in it, there were "curly" hairs in the tub, the bathroom was attrocious. I would never recommend for anyone to stay in this dump EVER! I certainly will never go back to stay at the Victorian Inn of Waco.

Do not do this to yourself
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/08
We came here based upon prior reviews and found them to be less than useful. We arrived and got a room that had an overwhelming smell of room deoderizer. Left my wife and myself we massive headaches. The poorly placed TV did not have reception worth a darn and the headboard fell of the wall. Called the front desk and all they said was they would report it to the manager. So, the next morning I tried to start with new attitude. I got in the shower and could not get the shampoo packet open. Suggestion, before you get in the shower open the packet with scissors because it will not work with wet hands. The front desk offered no apologies or remedies and the continental breakfast was sparce. Save your money and get a good night's sleep somewhere else.

Way better than expected!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/4/07
I recently stayed there because I was too tired to drive home. I tried 2 other hotels before I found this place. The other two failed the black light test, but this one passed. The clerk, Tracy? Tresa? (sorry) was very friendly and super helpful. When I questioned the neighborhood, she reassured me that the place has 24 hour surveillance, and even said she often forgets her keys in the ignition of her car. (the car's a heap, but the keys really were in the ignition). When she told me the price, I was stunned. It was much lower than I expected! The room was very clean, very comfortable, strong internet signal, the girl at the desk was awesome, and the coffee was good too! Next time I'm in Waco, I won't stop anywhere else. :)

Great Place to Stay!
By Lee, 8/15/07
I'm looking for a clean room, a comfortable bed, an air conditioner that cools the room to just above freezing, and convenient location. This hotel had all of that. The room smelled a little musty at first, but once the air was working, that cleared up. It was one exit down from the university. The staff was great and the internet worked without help. Hotel rooms are hard to come by on certain days in Waco, and they are expensive. This one was easy to get and didn't cost the usual arm and leg.

Near the Brazos River
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/1/06
I recently visited Waco on business, and made my reservation through their web site. I called to verify my reservation, but had trouble understanding the man that answered the phone. I checked in afer my meeting, and the friendly smile that greeted me made my bad day melt away! That 3-11 girl, (Theresa I think is her name) is amazing! I stay in a lot of hotels, and I can tell you this girl rocks! She definitley knows the definition of friendly customer service. Whatever the bosses pay her, they should double it, because she's worth it!

Not bad....but.....
I called early one afternoon to make a reservation for my group, but I couldn't understand the person on the phone, so I gave up and called other hotels. One of the other hotels suggested I try to call the Victorian Inn back after 3pm, and I'm glad I did! The 3-11 clerk is fabulous! She is warm & friendly, witty, honest, understanding, accommodating, very helpful, and an excellent communicator! I can't say enough good things about her! The owners of this hotel should consider themselves blessed to have someone so wonderful willing to work for less than $9/hour. She's worth triple that amount, easy.

Victorian Inn
By Teresa, 10/17/05
I don't mean for this to sound like a commercial, but...Just north of the Brazos very close to I-35, the "cute" 2-story, 40 room hotel offers mini-fridges, microwaves, hair dryers, irons & ironing boards, free local calls, and continental breakfast. The parking lot is well-lit, regularly monitored by the clerks, and has 24-hour video surveillance. There is a sign language interpreter student on staff for Deaf customers. The hotel has a preference for older customers. Mention you saw it on Yahoo for a discount.

Wonderful, near campus
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/25/04
My family has been staying at the Victorian for at least 8 straight years. Its one of the few decent hotels that doesn't charge unreasonable prices and is possible to get a reservation.
