dont use this place. a lot of ppl have bad experience with events here. They promised and make you want to use this place but at THE DAY off they screw up and doesnt deliver and still you have to pay them. DONT USE INTERCONTINENTAL DALLAS. CANT TRUST THEM

I disliked nothing. It was a wonderful hotel and a great experience. I would be glad to go back anytime!

first give good trainig to reservation dept i talk to lady in reservation dept .she is not polite .treat all people alike this is america people with different accent and different culture treat humanbeings respectfully

I cant believe any of these people are saying these horrible things about this hotel... It was amazing. I was here for a conference and the entire stay was amazing, I met nothing but amazing staff alway helpful and easy to get along with. Had a minor incident and brought it their attention and they took care of it immediately. AMAZING!!! Absolutely AMAZING!!!!!

If its rest you want , a helpful spirited staff, and to feel like a valued visiting guest ,then my friend this is not the place for you. The lobby would be grand if it wasn't filled with cancer stick sucking seminar dwellers . the a/c sounded of a beating bass drum all night, and the tub would not drain. Now the bed was saaad. It was worn in the middle so you sank into a hole at bed time . It was nothing short from a straw hay stuff wool blanket ,No my friend, my family and I will not reside again in this place of misconception. I would have been much happier dwelling for the night at the bus park bench one block away, or under the bridge overpass a half a block away. Have a good day and don't stay ..... HERE !!!!

Left a tolietry bag in the room with my jewelry. Jewelry disappeared. Hotel would not take responsibility. Hotel staff is dishonest and stealing. Do you want to stay at a hotel that you need to worry about your belongings??

We were there for 5 nights. Toilets would not flush, tub & lavatory would not drain; We had three in our room and only given two towels ,wash cloths & hand towels each day. Room Hot and A/C would not cool room; Beds were lumpy; carpets filthy; Halls smelled of smoke. STAFF WAS HELPFUL & COURTEOUS; Elevators were very speedy. Nice atmosphere. Very over-rated and priced .. I would rate it a 2-star at the most.

the "non smoking" room we were put in was smoked in, the a/c did not go below 75 even when it is set at 60 (the ac did not work in 2 of the other rooms we knew people in) and the staff could have not cared less. The bed had bed bugs and the entire weekend they were leasing out half the hotel to those get rich quick seminars so if you wanted to use the elevator at the top of any hour you would be sharing it with 30 other people. I think all the other people who wrote good reviews must have stayed when it was empty or during the middle of the week. I would pay the same amount to stay at a $50 hotel before I went there again, then I would atleast know what I was getting in to. The worst part was the staff, I think they thought that they were the guests and you are there to serve them.

This hotel seems to cater mostly to conventions and that was the reason for my stay there. The room itself had some bizarre features. The hotel had been refurbished in the past few months yet both mattresses had lumps and obvious sunken spots. The so-called easy chair was very narrow, smaller than a coach airline seat, and I can't imagine many American derrieres fitting comfortably into it. The table/desk was so tall that my chin was roughly level with the top when sitting at it. I measured it at about 35 inches high - 6 inches higher than my home dining table. I cannot imagine working on a computer or writing a letter at that desk. Very odd. The television had the least number of channels I have seen in many years. It was the bare basic of local channels (tho no PBS), and cable news channels. No Food Network, A&E, HG, or other pretty regular channels. The food was another issue. What was described on the menu was not what appeared on your plate. It took a full 15 minutes and 4 calls to learn what was on the fruit plate - no one knew. We asked to buy a basket of rolls and was told it would come with our room-service dinner. Of course it did not, and once again the dinners did not come with the sides described on the menu. When we called about it we were told we must have a different menu. When they read to us what was on their menu it exactly matched what ours said. Again we asked for a bread basket. So they sent two complete duplicate entrees along with three very small very stale rolls. We called to say we did not ask for the entrees and they said they just decided to send them. The bathrooms were very nice except there was not a grab bar in the tub. Since most of the conventioneers were 60+ it seemed like an accident waiting to happen. Except for the food staff the staff was all very helpful and cooperative. Nevertheless, I will not stay there again.

In preparation for a dinner, concert, and a night out on the town with my wife I decided to roll the dice for a 4 star hotel on Priceline. Much to my surprise the Hotel Intercontinental was what came up and for a very modest rate at that. I was looking forward to the stay, I was familiar with the hotel and location and have been wanting to try it. I did call ahead and assure my reservation was for a King non smoking room and the friendly young lady on the phone assured me that would be no problem and that we would be staying in the newly renovated area. Having used Priceline in the past I have noticed several hotels give you second class citizen treatment upon arrival. NOT here... the staff at the front desk was warm and friendly as well as very quick and efficient. We quickly had our room key and were off to our room. As I read in an earlier review the elevators were amazingly fast! We got to our room with little time to spare to get ready and head off to dinner before going to the concert. We quickly were in the room and found it to be nicely appointed. We unpacked quickly changed and were off again. Once again and consistent thru the weekend the elevators were always fast -and we were on the 12 th floor! We returned to the hotel late after the concert and the bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was very quiet. This was a nice hotel to get away to and enjoy a first class setting and friendly service from all staff members we came in contact with. I was impressed as we were leaving and walking down the hall to the elevators that the maids we came in contact with all smiled and said good morning! -Friendly indeed! I do want to add that other reviews spoke of the parking fees and I was leery.... I was prepared to pay the $18 to valet park and be done with it since the reviews mentioned that the other parking was $10. However the very friendly older man at the valet told me the self parking only a few feet away was FREE! -Yes a very nice staff and a relaxing weekend! I would recommend this hotel again and again!
