HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND I WOULD NEVER GO BACK!!

Upon arrival to the hotel we could not fit our van into the parking garage, the gentleman at the front desk said we could park on the side & if we needed to move it he would let us know. We never heard from him from June 28-July 1st. I called on the 25th to see if the rooms had refrigerators and/or microwaves; I was told microwaves were $10 a day but refrigerators were complimentary. I asked to have one placed in4 of our rooms. When we arrived they scrambled to find us 4 rooms even though we had reservations (we were not even on the same floors!), none of our rooms had fridge's and we waited close to 11pm to get them. One of our rooms had it dropped off outside the door! we were at a law enforcement conference and had close to 400 people attend. accomodations were lousy. we picked this hotel because of the name and the pictures on line. The pictures that showed for the merit address was not the hotel we statyed in! Room service would not give out the "complimentary" coffee to us and said we had to go to the front desk if we wanted more. The safe in the room didn't work and no one came to fix it; the refrigerator in the room that is stocked has a note on it that states it will open 15 minutes after check in - in all four rooms they remained locked. The bottles of water were outragious at $4 for a small bottle. They removed the vending machines so you are forced to buy items from their hotel store which is fine if you want to spend that kind of money. After one conference meeting their was a sign that read "LUNCH BUFFET $8.95 ALL YOU CAN EAT" which was in their dining room, when we went down to eat the host told us that it was $11.95 and he argued with us even though the sign stated $8.95. After a few minutes of 'collective bargaining' we ate for the $8.95 price which should have been $3.95!! He quickly went upstairs to remove the sign. It was the little things that the hotel failed to do that irritated us. When we went to check out we had an additional charge of close to $70 which was for the COMPLIMENTARY refrigerators and for parking in the parking garage (which we did not fit in to!) I spoke to the desk person and about the additional charges, and again after more collective bargaining he removed the charges. He did say that we were being charged for parking because we parked on the property and they had to charge us for something and I was being charged for the refrigerators because I called days before to reserve them - which didn't and still doesn't make sense since they are complimentary. Overall the rooms are decent, nothing great, much nicer at the OMNI. They do not give a complimentary breakfast or anything complimentary for that matter. A small pot of coffee is $6.00 and a large $10. For breakfast you can order 2 eggs, toast or muffin, your choice of bacon or ham (2 small pieces) juice and coffee for $21 not including the charge for room service. The hotel is located right downtown and you have your panhandlers begging for money, food or whatever you have to offer. I would not stay at this hotel ever again! Maybe you will have better luck!!
