GREAT HOTEL!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/28/11
Great location, great views. The staff was super friendly and the rooms were really clean and relaxing. About a mile away from 6th street. Bring your own hairdryer. The ones in the rooms aren't the best.

nice enough, but might shop around next time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/10
hotel staff was very nice, gave us a very late checkout without extra charge. I work in a hotel and know sometimes late checkouts can be annoying for staff trying to get ready for next guests! hotel itself was nice, TGIFridays was great and starbucks was being remodeling. had a live acoustic set with a little bar in lobby. room however was out dated but had great ammenaties and was clean. we were in a smoking room and they had air purifiers in the hall ways so it didn't smell at all! location was great, but reserved a riverside room and got a view with the parking garage. didn't care though, cause i got a governemnt discount. but wouldn't pay asking price of hotel for another stay cause i'm cheep. but sleep number bed with great sheets and towels made it worth it for me!

Would definately choose this hotel again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/24/10
Reservation was all correct, employees were professional & friendly & knowledgeable. Room was clean & as expected. Only quirk was we reserved a "lakeside room". You could SEE the lake from the room, but it wasn't actually ON the lake side. No big deal. As tourists, we wanted to watch the bats come out at dusk from under the Congress St Bridge. There is a TGI Fridays IN the hotel, and the best place in the area to watch the bats is from the outside patio of the restaurant! You can wine and dine while watching the bats, but not get "wet" like the people on the ground or on the boats! Very quiet and great walking location to other places.

What a low rate place! D-
By PAMELA, 8/20/09
I was very disappointed. The lamp was broken and I needed light to do my daughter's makeup for her wedding. They never fixed it or replaced it. The housekeepers were very loud across the hall yelling back and forth. Management would not even call me back after complaining. The bartenders at the TGIF inside hotel were wayyy cool and nice and the Starbucks were the only thing good.

Front Desk
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/19/08
My friends and I took a trip to Austin for my birthday. The rooms were really nice but the front desk was horrible. I work at a hotel and know the system extremely well. The front desk gsr had no clue what she was doing. I asked for our bill to be split up since there were 3 of us staying in one room. She couldn't do this for some reason when i know for a fact she could. I work off of the same system she does and i know it was possible. She was truly unwilling to do her job. The was rude and not very understanding.I will never stay there again.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/28/08
I had the worst experience I've ever had at any hotel at this one. I booked my brother and his new wife a suite the night of their wedding and my other brother booked a couple of rooms for us and some friends. First, they confused our reservations. Heaven forbid two people with like last names make reservations for the same night. Second, while checking in I asked the woman at the front desk if they validated for parking and handed her my parking ticket, in the confusion of their screwing up our reservations she never gave it back to me. When I remembered it later and went down to pick it up, instead of giving me back my original ticket, they gave me a "Guest Parking Pass" and charged my bill $15 extra. I argued that it would have been nice to be warned about such a high parking price when making the reservation and they simply said one should expect it downtown. The next day, when leaving, my brothers who arrived at the same time paid half as much for parking using their original tickets. I got charged twice as much because I bothered to let the Radisson staff know I was their customer than if I had been some random person off the street using their garage. I've called to complain and request a credit 3 times and have been thoroughly brushed off by the staff. I have a list of other complaints (room was freezing, ice machine didn't work, soda machine didn't work), but this was the one that crossed the line. Do not stay here! Service is horrible!!

Not Impressed
By Andy C, 5/18/08
In town with my wife who was at the APA Congress. In the room key holder it states "A safe is provided for the deposit of valuables". The first day I asked for one,I was informed there were non available. When I asked what I could do with my laptop, I was told I could leave it in my room! However, they would not accept any responsibility for loss. The first day I went out, I left the "make up room" sign on the door, saw the maid & informed her, five hours later when I returned, the room still had not been cleaned. When I informed the front desk there was no real apology. Overall, I consider the front desk personell attitude was somewhat lacking. When we checked out, no one asked if our stay was all right. The guys who did the valet parking were very helpful.

Austin Gliding Tour
By wiccangypsygurl, 2/28/07
My husband and I just stayed at the Radisson Hotel in Austin and it was a fantastic time. We arrived in Austin on Friday, 2-23-07, upon arrival I was looking for a fun activity before my husband's work responsilities. A Radisson employee meantioned Segway tours, gave us a discount card and we were off and rolling around town on those strange two wheeled machines. We had a nice guy train us how to ride and after practice a different guide (female) took us for a "glide" around the city. This was the best mini-vacation that I can remember so I recommend it to others. Austin Gliding Tours or Gliding Revolution was the Segway touring company. Believe me, try it, you'll like it! Thanks Radisson staff! Victoria
